Light doesn't pass straight through this shade. It catches on every cut face and breaks into small points. Hang one beside a bed or over a stairwell, and the wall behind it fills with a fine starburst. It reads as jewellery for the room.

Square crystal tiers, each one turned against the last

  • Turned tiers — every ring of crystal sits rotated against the one below, so the stack reads as a slow spiral.
  • Chevron-cut faces — the outer faces are cut in shallow Vs, each one taking the light at its own angle.
  • Spaced on pins — small metal pins hold each tier clear of the next, and light escapes through the gaps.
  • Lit in points — small emitters sit at intervals up the inside, so every tier is lit from within.

Cut crystal on silver-finished steel

The crystal is cut and polished, and the fittings are stainless steel in a silver finish. Both show in the close-ups: clear crystal, slim metal where the tiers meet. The same build runs through all three sizes. The smallest is close to a cube, the middle one a narrow column, the largest a wider barrel.

Fit and placement

It mounts at the ceiling. The canopy is a plain square plate. The cable feeds through a cord grip at its centre, and the drop is set there.
