A fluted opal glass drum that sits flat against the ceiling — 18 cm (7.1″) deep, so it clears the low ceilings and door swings where a pendant gets in the way. It wires into a standard ceiling point and takes E27 bulbs you can buy anywhere. Made for hallways, entryways, landings, bedrooms and walk-in closets.

What makes it work

  • Moulded, not printed — the drum carries a fluted band, a ring of raised bosses and a rosette relief across the flat face, so the glass has depth in daylight as well as at night.
  • White or beige glass — white reads bright and crisp against a painted ceiling; beige is the warmer of the two and settles into cream, plaster and timber tones.
  • Three or four sockets — the ∅ 36 cm (14.2″) drum carries three E27 lamps and the ∅ 45 cm (17.7″) carries four, so output rises with the span.

Choosing between the two versions

Both are warm-light. The opal glass is dense enough to bury the lamps behind it, so what reaches the room is a low-glare amber-leaning wash rather than a visible hot spot. The difference between the two versions is control: take the Triac-dimmable one for a bedroom or a landing where you will want the level down after dark, and run it from a Triac dimmer on the wall circuit. The dimmer is not supplied, and the standard version will not dim on any switch.

Where it can go

This fixture is rated IP20 — dry indoor rooms only, so not a bathroom, not a covered porch, and nothing that sees steam or splashing. In a dry room it carries a space of roughly 5–10 m² (54–108 sq ft) on its own. It is hardwired to a ceiling point and switched from the wall, and bulbs are not included: fit your own E26 or E27, LED or Edison-style.
