Bulbs are sold separately; each shade takes one E12 base. The arm is fixed rather than adjustable, and assembly is a short step with instructions in the box. It hardwires to a round backplate, so measure your wall box first — where the backplate does not fully cover it, a separate cover plate finishes the job cleanly.
