Glim reads as a single disc of alabaster set flat against the wall, lit from behind so the stone's own veining comes through as a soft, warm wash rather than a beam. There is no arm and no visible fitting — just a small round backplate in brass or black and a stone face that stands 7 to 8 cm (2.8 to 3.1″) off the wall. Four diameters run from a 15 cm (5.9″) marker beside a doorway to a 25 cm (9.8″) glow over a bed, and the same backplate fixes flat to a ceiling if you would rather light a hallway from above.

What makes it work

  • Natural alabaster shade — quarried stone, so the veining and the way it holds light belong to your piece alone.
  • Integrated warm white LED — nothing to source and nothing to replace, and the light sits far enough behind the stone that it never shows as a hot spot.
  • Four sizes, two finishes — brass or black on the backplate, with the white alabaster face common to both.

Fitting, dimming and stone variation

The backplate screws to a standard outlet box on a wall or a ceiling and the alabaster face closes over it, so the only real decision is where the box sits. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic wall wiring — it's a straightforward job. The integrated LED ships non-dimmable, so plan it onto a plain switched circuit rather than a dimmer, and ask us first if that is a problem. And because the shade is real stone, the pattern will differ from the photograph: the tone stays the same warm white, the veining is yours.

Can it be mounted on a ceiling?
Yes. The same round backplate fixes flat to a ceiling, which is how it is often run in a line down a hallway.
