Half-Dome Alabaster Wall Sconce, Hardwired, G4/G9, Two Sizes

A solid alabaster half-dome that sits flush to the wall, with no arm and no visible bracket. It projects only 7.5 cm (3″) in the compact size or 12.5 cm (4.9″) in the large, and you choose warm, cool or dim-to-warm light when you order. It suits a hallway, bedside, stairwell, dressing area or gallery wall.

What makes it work

• Solid alabaster diffuser — the stone itself softens the light, so the wall gets an even glow instead of a hotspot.
• Two sizes, socket to match — ∅ 15 cm (5.9″) on a G4 bi-pin lamp for a run down a hallway, ∅ 25 cm (9.8″) on a G9 as a single feature.
• Shallow, flush profile — 7.5 cm (3″) or 12.5 cm (4.9″) off the wall, so it clears a corridor or the side of a bed.

Choosing your light

Pick the tone when you order:

• Warm Light: amber and close to candlelight through stone — the classic reading of alabaster, and the one for bedrooms and hallways.
• Cool Light: keeps the face whiter and the veining sharper, which suits a dressing area or a gallery wall.
• Triac Warm Dimming: on a Triac, or leading-edge, wall dimmer it drops in output and warms as it goes, so late-evening light sits low and gold.

Every dome is cut from natural stone

Veining, translucency and depth of colour move from piece to piece: set two units side by side and one can be almost plain white while the next carries heavy amber marbling. Yours will not match the photographs exactly.

Power and wiring

The supply cable comes through the wall behind the fixture and the dome mounts over a small bracket, so no cord or plug shows at the sides. Run it on standard household AC at 110–240 V; it is not built for a 12 V low-voltage circuit. Around 150–165 cm (59–65″) from the floor reads well for a hallway run, lower beside a bed where you want the light on the pillow. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic wall wiring — it's a straightforward job.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which carries no moisture protection at all, so keep it to dry rooms.

Will it look like the photographs?
Close, not identical. Every dome is cut from natural alabaster, so the veining and tone are particular to the piece you receive.
