Details

A sphere of soft white glass balanced on a polished capsule base — one bold shape instead of a shade and finial. Switch it on and the whole globe lights up evenly, with no hot spot showing through. It reads as sculpture first, lamp second.

  • Milky white glass globe — a full sphere, wider than the body it stands on, so the glass leads.
  • Capsule-shaped body — a tall cylinder with fully rounded top and bottom, more pebble than tube.
  • Gold collar and press-button — the ring under the globe and the round switch keep their gold on every colourway.
  • The globe stands clear — a slim stem lifts the sphere off the body's shoulder, so the two shapes read separately.

A gloss finish, polished, plated and enamelled

The dark bodies come up mirror-bright, bright enough to pick up the room around them. The pale one carries the same gloss more quietly, holding soft highlights rather than reflections. On all of them the shine runs unbroken over the rounded shoulders.
