A small glass pendant on a brass-finish holder, 16 cm (6.3″) tall, in clear fluted, green or blackish green glass. What makes it work

• Three glass options — Clear is a fluted globe whose vertical flutes break a filament bulb into a starburst; Green and Blackish Green are smooth, flattened ovals. The same fitting, a different glass form, so choose on shape as much as on colour.
• The shade lifts off — loosen the three knurled thumbscrews in the brass-finish gallery ring and the glass comes away over the holder, so cleaning it or changing a bulb never means touching the wiring.
• Small enough to group — at ∅ 13 cm (5.1″) it hangs on its own beside a bed, or in a run of three along a counter, without the shades crowding one another.

Bulb and dimming

It takes one E12 candelabra bulb, supplied separately, in LED, incandescent or fluorescent. A clear filament bulb is what makes the fluted Clear shade throw its starburst; a dimmable E12 bulb on a compatible dimmer switch is what makes the fixture dim.

Worth knowing before you order

It arrives to be assembled and hardwired to a ceiling point, hanging on its twisted fabric flex, and it is rated IP20 — dry indoor rooms, not a bathroom and not a covered outdoor spot. Over a counter a pendant this size usually sits 76–91 cm (30–36″) above the worktop.

Which glass should I pick?
Clear is the fluted globe and the most sculptural of the three once a filament bulb sits behind it. Green reads deep bottle-dark unlit and bright emerald lit. Blackish Green is the darkest, closer to petrol blue in low light and a clear aqua with a window behind it.

Does it come with a bulb?
No. It takes a single E12 candelabra bulb, sold separately, in LED, incandescent or fluorescent.

Can I take the shade off to clean it?
Yes. Three knurled thumbscrews hold the glass in the gallery ring; back them off and the shade lifts clear of the holder.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. It is an IP20 fitting with no moisture protection at all, so keep it to dry indoor rooms.
