A mouth-blown glass cylinder hung from an arched gooseneck, open at the foot so the light drops in a pool below rather than washing the wall. It plugs into any socket on a 149.9 cm (59″) cord with an in-line switch — no wiring, no electrician. Made for a bedside, a reading chair, a hallway or a rental.

What makes it work

  • Mouth-blown glass in seven colours — Clear, Amber, Green, Milky White, Smoke Grey, Frosted White and Sky Blue, each on a gold or black body. Blown by hand rather than pressed in a mould, so the wall thickness varies a little and no two shades carry colour identically.
  • 80 cm (31.5″) tall, 19 cm (7.5″) off the wall — it clears a bedside table without crowding it, and holds the 40 cm (15.7″) shade at reading height.
  • Two disc mounts, one clean line — the rod is fixed at two points down its length, so the arm holds its position and the shade stays where you set it.

Choose the shade on the light, not the swatch

Frosted White and Milky White diffuse along the full cylinder and soften the bulb into a glow. Clear and Amber keep the bulb and its sleeve on show, so the bulb you fit becomes part of the look. Smoke Grey, Green and Sky Blue sit between the two, deeper and more saturated unlit than lit.

Before you order

The cord runs from the foot of the rod down the wall in black, with no channel to hide it, so settle where the socket goes before you mark the mounts. The holder takes a standard E27 screw bulb, supplied separately — LED, incandescent and fluorescent all fit, so the colour temperature is yours to choose. Rated IP20: dry indoor rooms only.

Frequently asked questions

How far does it stand off the wall?
19 cm (7.5″). The whole fixture is 80 cm (31.5″) tall, so it clears a bedside table and still holds the shade at reading height.

Does it need wiring in?
No. It plugs into an ordinary socket on a 149.9 cm (59″) cord with an in-line switch. The only job is fixing the two disc mounts to the wall.

How high should it go beside a bed?
Wall lamps usually sit 100–140 cm (39–55″) off the floor, which puts the open foot of the shade around the top of the mattress.

Which shade colour glows most evenly?
Frosted White and Milky White. Both diffuse along the whole cylinder and soften the bulb; Clear and Amber leave it visible, which is the point of those two.

Can it go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which carries no moisture protection at all — dry indoor rooms only.
