Details

A flush ceiling dome blown as one piece of glass, its scalloped petals running unbroken around it. The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to buy, and it drops only 10 cm (3.9″) below the ceiling. Choose 40 cm or 45 cm (15.7″ or 17.7″) across for a hallway, low bedroom, stair landing or living room.

What makes it work

  • Blown as one piece — no seams, and no visible hardware beyond the small fluted chrome boss at the centre.
  • Light spread across the petals — the scalloped wall carries the glow over the whole dome instead of pooling it in one hot spot.
  • Two glass treatments — Model A is smooth and glossy; Model B carries a fine craquelé web through the body that scatters the light a little further.

Before you order

Rated IP20, which carries no moisture protection at all — bedrooms, hallways, landings and living rooms yes, bathrooms and covered porches no. The LED runs at a fixed output rather than on a dimmer, so plan the circuit for a standard switch.

Fitting it

The dome meets the ceiling directly on a standard ceiling point, so there is no chain or cord length to work out. Fix the base plate into a joist or a rated ceiling fixing rather than plasterboard alone, and allow Dia. 40 cm (15.7″) or 45 cm (17.7″) of clear ceiling around the mounting point. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic ceiling wiring — it's a straightforward job.

No. IP20 gives no protection against moisture, so keep it to dry rooms — bedrooms, hallways, landings and living spaces.

Do I need to buy a bulb?
No. The LED is built into the fixture. Choose warm light or cool light when you order and it arrives ready to wire in.

What is the difference between Model A and Model B?
Size and glass. Model A is Dia. 40 cm (15.7″) in smooth glossy glass; Model B is 45 cm (17.7″) with a craquelé texture. Both are 10 cm (3.9″) deep and both come in white or beige.

Will it suit a low ceiling?
Yes. It projects 10 cm (3.9″) and mounts flush, with no chain or cord, so it clears rooms where a hanging fixture would sit in the way.
