A scalloped petal cap tops each opal glass globe, with teardrop cut-outs that lift a second wash of light onto the ceiling. It hardwires to a standard wall junction box behind the round backplate, held by a single screw — a straightforward fit. Pick one, two or three heads for a vanity mirror, hallway, bedside wall or dressing room.
What makes it work
Before you order
Each head takes a G9 capsule bulb, supplied separately, and there is no dimming circuit — plain on/off switching. It is hardwired, with no cord, plug or inline switch anywhere on the fixture, so it needs a junction box where you want it; have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic wall wiring, it's a straightforward job. IP20 carries no moisture protection: a dressing area, hallway or bedside wall suits it; a shower room, or anywhere it meets steam and splash, does not.
Set the height before you drill, because the fixing point decides where the globe finally sits. Beside a mirror, sconces usually go with the globe about 165 cm (65″) from the floor, close to eye level; above a mirror, centre the fixture on the frame.
