A single piece of glass pressed into a low puffed oval, 28 cm (11″) across, flush at 17 cm (6.7″) or 32 cm (12.6″) on a brass drop rod. A flat frosted disc closes the underside, so you see an even circle of light from below, never the bulb. Sized for an entry, hallway, landing or small dining table.
What makes it work
Before you order
One E26 socket, rated to a maximum of 5 W, and the bulb is not in the box — at that rating an LED is the sensible choice, it runs coolest inside a closed glass shade, and the colour temperature is yours to pick. There is no dimming circuit, so it works from a plain on/off switch rather than a dimmer. Rated IP20: dry indoor rooms only, not a bathroom and not a covered porch. It arrives in parts, needs a few minutes of assembly, then wires into a standard ceiling box, which the ∅10 cm (3.9″) canopy covers. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic ceiling wiring — it's a straightforward job.
