A brushed-brass gooseneck sconce with a bead pull chain, so you switch it at the fixture rather than feeling for a wall plate in the dark. The single E26/E27 socket takes any bulb you can buy anywhere, and the globe lifts out by hand — no tools, no cord, no plug. Bedside pairs, hallways, console mirrors.

What makes it work

  • Pull chain on the fixture — a long brass bead chain drops from the backplate, so the lamp switches where your hand already is.
  • Three glass globes, one brass frame — clear fluted, smoke gray or blue, each a separate moulding on the same brushed-brass arm and round backplate.
  • Shade off by hand — the globe sits in a brass gallery ring on three knurled thumbscrews, so it lifts out for cleaning or a bulb change without a tool.

Before you order

  • Hardwired — it joins your wall-switch circuit directly, with no plug and no in-line cord, so run the cable before the backplate goes on.
  • Fixing — fix the backplate into a stud or a rated wall anchor, not plasterboard alone.
  • Bedside height — a pair either side of a bed usually sits 150–160 cm (59–63″) off the floor, level with your shoulder sitting up in bed.
  • Wiring — have an electrician make the connection if you would rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you are comfortable with basic wall wiring; it is a straightforward job.
  • IP20 — no moisture protection, so dry indoor rooms rather than a bathroom or a covered porch.
  • Bulb — one E26/E27 socket, supplied separately; LED, incandescent and fluorescent all fit. The clear fluted globe shows the bulb, so a filament LED suits it best.

No. The single E26/E27 socket takes the bulb you prefer — LED, incandescent or fluorescent all fit.

How do I switch it on?
Pull the bead chain on the fixture. The sconce is also wired into your wall-switch circuit, so power reaches it from there.

Can it go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which carries no moisture protection at all, so keep it to dry indoor rooms.

Can I take the glass off to clean it?
Yes. Three knurled thumbscrews hold the globe in its brass gallery ring — loosen them by hand and it lifts straight out. No tools needed.
