Handcrafted from superior materials, the Washi Paper E Pendant Light uses translucent mulberry-bark paper to cast a warm, inviting glow — the kind of light you remember from sunshine filtered through rice-paper screens. Seven sizes, including ultra-tall statement proportions up to H181" (460 cm), make it at home everywhere from a bedroom or dining room to a double-height entryway or staircase.

A note on the handcraft
Each pendant is bonded by hand using paper and glue. You may see small traces of glue along the edge of the shade — this is a normal characteristic of the hand-bonding process, not a defect, and it doesn't affect how the light looks or performs when lit.

Bulb and light source
Takes a standard E26 or E27 base — bulbs not included. A warm Edison filament bulb (2700K) is recommended: the warm light through translucent washi paper is what gives the lamp its distinctive, organic ambiance.

Are glue traces at the shade edge a defect?
No. Small glue traces at the edge are a normal result of the hand-bonding process used to assemble washi paper pendants. They are not a quality defect and don't affect performance or appearance when lit.
How many bulbs does each size use?
The standard sizes (∅12.9"×H59.1", ∅16.9"×H55.1", ∅16.9"×H51.2") use 3 E26/E27 bulbs each. The ∅16.9"×H106.3" version uses 5. For the three ultra-tall sizes (H86.6", H131.9", H181.1"), reach out for bulb-count details.
Is this plug-in or hardwired?
Hardwired ceiling installation. A 59" (150 cm) adjustable cable is included, and extensions are available on request — get in touch before ordering if you need a longer drop for high ceilings.
Which bulb gives the best look?
A warm Edison filament bulb at 2700K. The warm amber light passes through the translucent washi paper like candlelight or sun through paper screens. Avoid cool white (5000K+) bulbs, which can make the shade look stark rather than warm.
Which size should I choose for my space?
The ∅12.9"×H59.1" and ∅16.9"×H51–55" sizes suit standard ceiling heights (8–10 ft) in bedrooms, dining rooms, and living rooms. The H106.3" version is ideal for double-height spaces or open staircases.
