Backlit Oval Loop Wall Sconce for Hallway, Alabaster, LED, 40 or 60 cm

A single elongated oval of alabaster, lit from within and standing just 5.5 cm (2.2″) off the wall on a compact dark metal fixing. The whole loop glows rather than throwing a beam — no visible bulb, no hotspot, no hard edge where the light stops — and the stone's own veining reads as fine grey and honey lines drawn through it. It comes in two heights: 40 cm (15.7″) beside a bed or along a hallway, and 60 cm (23.6″) where the wall wants a taller line.

What makes it work

• The stone is the fixture — the oval itself is alabaster rather than a stone-look panel over a metal body, so the veining you see lit is the material's own.
• Even, glare-free light — the LED sits inside the loop and washes out through the stone, so nothing points directly at the eye.
• Two heights, one narrow footprint — 40 cm (15.7″) or 60 cm (23.6″) tall, both 15 cm (5.9″) wide and 5.5 cm (2.2″) deep, so a matched pair flanking a bed or a mirror stays tight to the wall.

One colourway

This sconce is made in a single finish: warm white alabaster on a small dark metal wall fixing. What you choose is the height.

On dimming

The integrated LED is not built for standard wall dimmer switches. Wire it to a plain on/off circuit and it runs exactly as intended.

Installation

This is a hardwired fitting, so it connects to the wall point rather than a plug, and the fixing plate holds the whole sconce close to the wall. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic household wiring — it's a straightforward job.
