Λεπτομέρειες
A single sphere of alabaster, 15 cm (5.9″) across, capped with a stone dome and hung from a slim brass stem on a black fabric cord. The whole fitting stands 20 cm (7.9″) tall, small enough to drop beside a bed or over the end of a console without crowding it. Unlit, the stone is a pale, chalky white against the brass; lit, it warms through and the veining shows. The light pools directly below rather than washing the walls, which is what makes this a bedside or reading fitting rather than a main ceiling light.
What makes it work
- Solid alabaster shade — natural stone diffuses the bulb into an even glow instead of a hot spot, and the veining is unique to your piece.
- Brass stem and canopy — a small, weighty fitting, with the black fabric cord left visible as a deliberate line against a pale ceiling.
- Standard E26/E27 socket — fit whichever bulb, brightness and colour temperature you prefer; whether it dims depends on the bulb you choose.
What to know before you order
This one is deliberately small. At 15 cm (5.9″) across it lights a spot rather than a room, so over a kitchen island or a dining table plan on two or three. The bulb is sold separately. The pendant is hardwired to a ceiling point on a 150 cm (59″) cord rather than plugged into a wall socket, and its IP20 rating carries no moisture protection at all, so keep it to dry indoor rooms. Alabaster is quarried rather than moulded: veining and translucency shift from piece to piece, and yours will not match the photographs exactly.

Frequently asked questions
How many do I need over an island or a table?
At 15 cm (5.9″) across this lights one spot, so two or three spaced along the run is the usual answer. A single one is right beside a bed or above a console.
Does it come with a bulb?
No. It takes one standard E26 or E27 bulb, so you choose the brightness and colour temperature.
Can it go in a bathroom?
No. IP20 carries no moisture protection, so it belongs in dry indoor rooms.
