Two-Globe Wall Sconce for Bedside, Alabaster, G9, 45 cm

Two alabaster globes ride a single curved arm — one set high, one low — off a small round wall plate, so one fixture lights at two heights instead of one. Unlit, the globes read as creamy off-white stone, each veined a little differently; switched on, they turn amber from the inside and the grain shows through the glow. The whole sconce stands 45 cm (17.7″) tall and 30 cm (11.8″) wide, with a 12 cm (4.7″) globe at each end — compact enough to clear a bedside table, substantial enough to carry a hallway on its own.

What makes it work

• Two staggered globes — the high and low shades spread light across a taller stretch of wall than a single-shade sconce reaches.
• Natural alabaster — stone diffuses the lamp rather than hiding it, and the veining across your pair belongs to that pair alone.
• Two G9 sockets — ordinary bulbs, sold separately, so the brightness and the warmth are your call.

Good to know

This is a hardwired fitting: it connects to a wall junction box rather than a plug, and it runs off your existing wall switch. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic wall wiring — it's a straightforward job. It carries an IP20 rating, which is dry-room protection only, so keep it out of bathrooms and away from steam. And because alabaster is a natural material, the tone and veining of your globes will differ from the photographs.

Available finishes

Both finishes are the same fixture at the same price — only the metal changes.

Frequently asked questions

Are bulbs included?
No. It takes two standard G9 bulbs, sold separately, so you set the brightness and the colour temperature yourself.

How much wall does it need?
45 cm (17.7″) from top to bottom and 30 cm (11.8″) across. That clears a bedside table and sits comfortably beside a mirror or along a hallway.

Can it go in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating covers dry indoor rooms only, so keep it clear of steam and splashes.

Will the stone look like the photographs?
Close in tone, not identical in pattern — every alabaster globe is veined its own way, which is what using real stone buys you.
