Square Aluminum LED Step Lights, Recessed Outdoor Stair Lighting

A dark step is the kind of thing you only notice once, and usually the hard way. This recessed light solves it quietly: fitted flush into a stair riser or low wall, its die-cast aluminum face carries the same stepped detailing as the treads it's lighting, so the fixture disappears into the structure rather than sitting on top of it. A 3W high-CRI LED behind the face throws just enough light across the tread to guide a foot, without glaring up into anyone's eyes.

Why it earns its place on the stairs

• Flush, recessed fit — sits into the riser or wall with nothing protruding to catch a foot, a hem, or a broom.
• Stepped detail face — the light-emitting port is finished with the same care as the parts you never see, echoing the stairs it sits in.
• Low-glare, high-CRI LED — a 3W chip built for true colour rendering and a long service life, angled to light the tread, not your eyes.

Where to fit it

IP54 means it's built for rain, splashes, and everyday outdoor damp — not for a spot that sits directly under standing water. It's the right fixture for open-air stairs, patios, and walkways in normal weather. Wiring is a straightforward job for an electrician, or DIY if you're comfortable working with low-voltage outdoor circuits.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the two sizes?
One is a 10cm (3.9″) round profile, the other a 10cm (3.9″) square profile — pick whichever suits the shape of your riser or wall opening.

What does "lighting position" mean?
It refers to where the LED sits within the fixture — small or large — which changes the width of the light spread across the tread.

Do I need a pro to mount it?
Yes, if you're comfortable with basic low-voltage outdoor wiring it's a straightforward job; otherwise any electrician can fit it in minutes.
