Kirjeldus

See on valgusti kinnistu serva, mitte selle keskosa jaoks. Mõelge väravale, sissesõidutee sissepääsule või aiaseina ülaosale. See toimib sama palju tähisena kui valgusallikana, säilitades oma kuju sambal olenemata sellest, kas see on sisse lülitatud. Väljalülitatuna mõjuvad liivapritsitud viimistlus ja kandiline laternasiluett päevavalguses endiselt sissepääsu tähisena.

Mõõtke sammas enne laterna valimist. Väike suurus sobib umbes 30 cm (12″) laiusele postile. Keskmine sobib 41–46 cm (16–18″) laiustele sammastele ja suur on mõeldud 51–61 cm (20–24″) laiustele sammastele. Umbes 1–2,5 cm (0,5–1″) ulatumine üle samba serva muudab paigalduse teadlikult kavandatuks, mitte ligikaudseks. See on ainult välitingimustesse mõeldud valgusti, seega ei sobi see sisesambale ega siseruumides asuvale trepikäsipuule.

Kõigepealt tuleb valida suurus, sest enne kõike muud peab see sobima all oleva sambaga. Teine valik on mudel A ja mudel B. Mõlemal on sama alusmõõt ja tihendus; erinevus seisneb sisemises detailis, mitte suuruses. Viimasena tuleb valida toiteallikas: tavaline võrgutoide, maastikuvalgustuse ahela madalpingeline alalisvool või juhtmestikuta päikeseenergial töötav versioon.
