A single panel of alabaster with rounded ends, clasped top and bottom by a slim metal bracket — that is the whole design, and it is enough. Unlit, the stone is a soft chalky white. Lit, the light comes from inside the panel and the veining rises to the surface, so what you see is a glowing plane rather than a bright point to look at. Some panels are almost plain, others carry strong bands of honey-brown; the stone is cut from a natural block, so yours will be its own. The panel is 12.5 cm (4.9″) wide, which reads as a narrow strip of light rather than a fixture on the wall — take the 25.5 cm (10″) height beside a bed or a mirror, or the 50 cm (19.7″) height where you want a tall column of light in a hallway or beside a staircase. The bracket comes in brass or in black.

The LED is built into the fixture rather than sitting in a socket, so there is no bulb to buy and no cap type to match — and no dimmer compatibility either: wire it to an ordinary switched circuit. It is a hardwired fitting rated IP20, which carries no moisture protection at all, so keep it to dry rooms — a bedroom, a hallway, a landing, a living room, rather than a bathroom or a covered porch. Have an electrician make the connection if you would rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you are comfortable with basic wall wiring — it is a straightforward job.

Which height should I choose?
The 25.5 cm (10″) panel suits a bedside, a mirror flank or a narrow hallway, where you want light without a tall fixture. The 50 cm (19.7″) panel gives a longer column of light and holds a stairwell or a wide feature wall. Both are 12.5 cm (4.9″) wide.
Can I put it on a dimmer?
No. The integrated LED is not compatible with wall dimmer switches, so wire it to an ordinary switched circuit.
Will the stone look like the photographs?
Not exactly. Each panel is cut from natural alabaster, so some arrive almost plain and others carry strong honey-brown banding. The glow is the same; the pattern is yours.
Can it go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which carries no moisture protection, so keep it to dry rooms.
