A plug-in wall sconce with a swivel hinge and an adjustable cord — no electrician, no fixed position. The Ball Wall Sconce brings mid-century modern warmth to any room and lets you redirect the light without ever taking the shade off the wall.
In 1952, a set of Swedish hanging lamps arrived on the American market. George Nelson admired them enough to want one for his office, but their price put them out of reach — so he set out to design his own. The result was a family of lamps built on elemental, spherical shapes: a rounded apple, an elongated cigar, a shapely pear and more.

A real install in a styled room — mid-century modern character at a glance.
Features
-
Plug-in, no wiring. A 59" cord with a standard wall plug and inline switch means you can place it anywhere without an electrician.
-
Swivel hinge. Pivot the shade to redirect light without removing it from the wall — it adjusts with one hand.
-
Mid-century classic. Inspired by George Nelson's 1952 Bubble Lamp series — a timeless spherical form in walnut and chrome.
Available shapes

Ball — ∕11" × H15.7" (28 × 40 cm)

Round ball — ∕11.8" × H11.8" (30 × 30 cm)

Bulb and light source
E26 base — bulb not included. The fixture takes a standard E26 (or E27) base, the most common socket in the US, and works with LED or Edison-style bulbs. We recommend an Edison-style filament bulb (2200–2700K) to complement the mid-century character of the shade. Bulb not included.
