A sculptural, cloud-inspired sphere made to fill your room with softness and quiet calm. Suspended like a floating cloud, the Nubia casts a gentle, diffused glow that turns any space into a dreamlike retreat.

Features

  • Sculptural cloud form — a sphere-shaped, high-density polystyrene shade that's lightweight yet bold. A genuine statement piece in any room.
  • Soft diffused glow — the polystyrene spreads light evenly, with no hot spots and no harsh shadows. Pure ambient warmth.
  • 7 sizes, 6 colours — from 11.8″ to 39.4″, it scales to any room, with six shade colours from neutral to bold.

LED bulbs only — important

  • This fixture is designed for LED bulbs only.
  • Do not use incandescent or halogen bulbs. They run hot enough to crack or permanently damage the polystyrene shade.
  • LED bulbs protect the lamp, use less energy and last far longer.

Installation notes

  • Hardwired ceiling installation — we recommend a licensed electrician, especially for the larger sizes (Dia. 31.5″ and above).
  • For the Dia. 39.4″ (100 cm) size at 33 lbs (15 kg), make sure your ceiling junction box and structure are rated for the weight before installing.
  • The cable adjusts down from 59″ (150 cm). For longer drops, custom extensions are available — email info@clerachic.com before ordering.
  • Use LED bulbs only. Incandescent and halogen bulbs are not permitted — they run too hot for the polystyrene shade.
  • Indoor use only. Not suitable for bathrooms or any damp or wet locations.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a regular incandescent or halogen bulb?
No. Only LED bulbs may be used. Incandescent and halogen bulbs generate excessive heat that can crack or permanently damage the polystyrene shade. Always use LED bulbs.

What sizes are available?
Seven sizes: Dia. 11.8″, 15.7″, 19.7″, 23.6″, 27.6″, 31.5″ and 39.4″. Weights range from 3.3 lbs at the smallest to 33 lbs at the largest — see the full size table above.

What colours are available?
Six shade colours: Grey, White, Beige, Brown, Blue and Orange.

Can the hang height be adjusted?
Yes. A 59″ (150 cm) cable is included and can be shortened during installation. For longer drops, contact us at info@clerachic.com — custom extensions are available on request.

What bulb is recommended?
A warm-toned E26 LED at 2700–3000K, which brings out the soft, glowing cloud effect of the shade. Avoid anything above 3000K, as cooler tones reduce the dreamlike ambiance.
