Opal glass discs overlap in a ring around the diffuser, so light comes through in layers instead of one flat sheet. It mounts semi-flush — 23 cm (9.1″) deep, no cord, no chain — and takes E12 or E14 bulbs on a standard ceiling point. Sized for bedrooms, hallways, landings and dining rooms.

What makes it work

  • Overlapping glass discs — each disc hangs from its own hooked pin around the drum, so the shade reads as layered relief from every angle instead of a single dome.
  • One depth, three widths — every size stands 23 cm (9.1″) tall, so the diameter is the only thing you have to decide.
  • Output scales with span — five E12/E14 sockets at ∅ 40 cm (15.7″), six at ∅ 50 cm (19.7″), eight at ∅ 60 cm (23.6″).
  • Dimmer-compatible — run it from a dimmer on the wall circuit and it will hold a low evening level. The dimmer is not included.

Unlit and lit

Switched off, the discs are a clean gloss white and the fixture reads as sculpture on the ceiling. Lit, the opal glass turns warm ivory and the overlapping edges pick the glow up at different depths, throwing a soft halo onto the ceiling around it. Bulbs are not included, so fit your own E12 or E14, LED or Edison-style — the socket count for your size is in the table below.

Where it can go

Rated IP20, which means dry indoor rooms only — not a bathroom and nowhere that sees steam. It is hardwired to a ceiling point and assembled on fitting, with each disc hooked onto the frame as you build it, so handle them by the edges.

Yes — it is dimmer-compatible on a standard wall circuit. The dimmer itself is not supplied.

Can it go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, with no moisture protection, so keep it to dry rooms.
