A sputnik chandelier that sits 24 cm (9.4″) off the ceiling instead of hanging. The stem is rigid — no chain to shorten, no cord — and the sockets are standard G9, so replacement lamps are an ordinary shop item. Six, eight or twelve lights span ∅85–125 cm (33.5–49.2″): living room, dining table, bedroom, study, low-ceiling apartment.
What makes it work
Before you order
The drop is fixed — no chain, no cord, no adjustable stem — so plan the position rather than the height. Each globe is blown glass, so expect 1–2 cm (0.4–0.8″) of variation between them; that is the material, not a fault. Fix the canopy into a joist or a rated ceiling brace rather than plasterboard alone: the twelve-light spans ∅125 cm (49.2″) and carries its weight out along the arms. It is an indoor fitting, so keep it clear of steam and damp. Have an electrician make the connection if you'd rather not touch the wiring, or fit it yourself if you're comfortable with basic ceiling wiring — it's a straightforward job.

It does not hang. The stem is rigid, and the fixture measures 24 cm (9.4″) from the ceiling to the base of the globes on all three sizes.

What separates the three glass tones?
