מנורת רצפה משי לסלון, אהיל בצורת אגס, כבל לחיבור לחשמל

A lamp shaped like a piece of fruit could look like a gimmick — until you see the glow it throws. Silk turns a bare bulb into something warm and low. Set it in an empty corner or beside a sofa, and that dead space finally earns its keep.

A pear silhouette in ribbed silk

• Pear-shaped body — a full, rounded belly narrows into a slim neck, the silhouette the lamp is named for.
• Ribbed silk shade — fine vertical ribs run from the crown to the base, and the silk pulls taut between them.
• Stalk-like stem — a slender dark stem curves up from the crown, echoing the stalk of the fruit itself.
• Three-legged stand — three slim metal legs splay out from under the shade, one of them reaching forward.

Silk that carries the light instead of blocking it

Lit from inside, the shade reads closer to a paper lantern than a bulb behind glass. The glow gathers at the centre and falls away towards the shoulders and the lower edge. That gradient gives the light depth rather than one flat face. Unlit, it goes quiet — a soft cream form with the ribs showing as fine dark lines.

Fit and placement

This is a floor lamp, not a fixture. Set it down, plug it in, and it is working — no hard wiring and no electrician. Because the light sits low, it fills a corner or the side of a seat instead of washing the whole room from overhead.

Specifications

Frequently asked questions

Can I dim it?
No dimmer is built into the lamp. For a lower setting, run a dimmable bulb on a plug-in dimmer.

How much floor does it actually take?
More than the shade suggests. The width given in the specifications is the spread of the three feet — the shade itself sits narrower than that.

Can it go outdoors?
No. This one is built for indoor rooms, so keep the silk away from damp and weather.
