Descrição

Arms reaching out at different angles, each carrying its own light, so the room is lit from several directions rather than one point. Switch it on and the brightness arrives as a spread instead of a single hot spot, which is why a room under this chandelier feels settled rather than staged.

Most ceiling fixtures hang one bulb in the middle and leave you with a pool of glare underneath and dim corners everywhere else. Here the slender iron rods cross and separate, and each one carries a bulb at its tip, at its own height and its own angle. What you get is even light reaching outward in every direction with nothing burning into your eye when you look up, and a piece that reads as architecture overhead rather than a fitting you put up with.

The frame is iron throughout, finished matte black with warm brass gold accents at the joints and sockets. The paint is non-toxic and hard-wearing, and it holds its tone against heat and fading through years of daily use. The lineage is mid-century: rhythm, open composition, exposed bulbs, a look that stays elegant long after the decade that inspired it. It makes a confident swap for a conventional ceiling light, expressive but visually light, adding character without crowding the room.

Four configurations let you match the fitting to the space. Two heads measure 70 cm (27.6″) long and 25 cm (9.8″) tall; four heads, 83 cm (32.7″) by 28 cm (11″); six heads, 83 cm (32.7″) by 33 cm (13″); eight heads, 90 cm (35.4″) by 38 cm (15″). Weights run from 1 kg (2.2 lb) through 1.2 kg (2.6 lb) to 1.6 kg (3.5 lb). The smaller arrangements work as a streamlined accent, while the longer ones hold their own as a focal point above a dining table, a living room seating group, or any contemporary interior with ceiling to spare.

Each head takes a replaceable E26 screw bulb, and the fixture arrives without bulbs so you can choose the tone yourself. Two heads draw 20 W (2000 lm), four heads 40 W (4000 lm), six heads 60 W (6000 lm) and eight heads 80 W (8000 lm). It runs on AC 90–260 V and hardwires at the ceiling behind a ∅15 cm (5.9″) canopy, and the brackets in the box let you fix it to a wall instead where that suits the room better. Certification covers UL, CCC, CE, CQC, EMC, FCC, GS, LVD, PSE, RoHS, SAA and VDE.

Guia de instalação

Este candeeiro fica suspenso de uma caixa de derivação no teto e é ligado à alimentação elétrica. Defina a altura de suspensão antes de ligar qualquer coisa — é muito mais fácil ajustar a distância enquanto os fios ainda estão soltos do que refazer o trabalho depois.

Antes de começar

  • Montagem: o candeeiro fixa-se a uma caixa de derivação de teto normalizada. O suporte e os elementos de fixação estão incluídos na caixa.
  • Peso: verifique se a caixa de derivação e o teto suportam o candeeiro. Os pesos estão indicados nas Especificações do produto acima. Um lustre pesado pode precisar de um reforço instalado entre as vigas.
  • Altura de suspensão: o cabo, a corrente ou a haste fornecidos podem ser encurtados. Sobre uma mesa de jantar, uma distância de aproximadamente 75 a 90 cm entre o tampo da mesa e a parte inferior do abat-jour é adequada para a maioria das divisões.
  • Tipo de teto: todos os modelos são adequados para tetos planos. A compatibilidade com tetos inclinados é indicada para cada produto nas Especificações do produto acima.
  • Alimentação: estes candeeiros são ligados diretamente à instalação elétrica. Não são ligados a uma tomada.
  • Regulação da intensidade: os modelos com lâmpada substituível podem normalmente ser regulados com um regulador compatível. Os modelos com LED integrado, em geral, não podem.

Instalação

Desligue o circuito de iluminação no quadro elétrico ou no painel de disjuntores — o interruptor de parede não é suficiente. Teste a caixa de derivação do teto com um testador de tensão e confirme que os fios não têm corrente.

Aparafuse o suporte fornecido à caixa de derivação do teto com os parafusos incluídos. Aperte uniformemente e verifique se fica plano e direito; um suporte desnivelado ficará visível quando o candeeiro estiver instalado.

Ajuste o cabo, a corrente ou a haste até à altura pretendida antes de efetuar qualquer ligação elétrica. Fixe o comprimento utilizando o ajustador da canopla ou o aperto no interior da canopla. Se encurtar um cabo, enrole o excesso cuidadosamente dentro da canopla em vez de o cortar — assim, poderá ajustar novamente a altura mais tarde.

  • Fase à fase: preto, castanho ou o terminal marcado L
  • Neutro ao neutro: branco, azul ou o terminal marcado N
  • Terra à terra: verde, verde e amarelo ou fio nu, ligado ao terminal ou parafuso de terra

Fixe cada ligação com um conector e empurre cuidadosamente a cablagem para dentro da caixa. Ao fechá-la, nada deve ficar preso entre a canopla e o teto.

Levante a canopla ou a placa traseira até ao suporte e fixe-a com os parafusos ou as tampas decorativas fornecidos. Aperte até obter um encaixe firme, sem forçar — as tampas decorativas e as roscas revestidas danificam-se facilmente.

Utilize o tipo e a potência da lâmpada indicados nas Especificações do produto acima. Quando vários casquilhos partilham um abajur, utilize lâmpadas idênticas para que a cor e a luminosidade sejam uniformes em todo o candeeiro.

Volte a ligar o circuito e teste a luz, incluindo o regulador de intensidade, se tiver instalado um. Desligue novamente a alimentação antes de reabrir qualquer elemento.

Dicas importantes

  • Siga as regras de ligação elétrica aplicáveis no local onde vive e recorra a um eletricista qualificado para tetos altos, suportes inclinados ou qualquer situação sobre a qual tenha dúvidas.
  • Peça a alguém para segurar um candeeiro largo ou pesado enquanto efetua as ligações. Nunca o deixe pendurado apenas pela cablagem.
  • Limpe o vidro e o cristal com um pano macio e seco. Não pulverize produto de limpeza sobre um candeeiro que esteja ligado à instalação elétrica.
  • Não aperte demasiado as peças decorativas: têm um acabamento decorativo, não são estruturais.

Good constructor. The only negative is that which is painted with enamel in gold.
