これは拡散光ではなく、部屋全体に散らばるのではなく、概ね前方を照らす直接光です。コンソールやデスクの上をアクセントとして照らすのに適しており、大きな空間を均一に満たすというより、近くを集中的に照らします。消灯時は、壁にかかった無地の色付きディスクのように見えます。器具自体は円形以外にほとんど特徴がないため、形よりも色のほうが視覚的な印象を大きく左右します。

サイズは4種類あり、30 cm (11.8″)から60 cm (23.6″)まで幅広く展開されています。写真から大きさを判断する前に、どのサイズを見ているのか確認してください。最大サイズは最小サイズのほぼ2倍の幅があり、4段階という数から想像するよりも大きな差があります。小さいサイズは、狭い玄関や鏡の横のスペースに適しています。最大サイズは、壁面に十分な空きがある部屋で、本格的な壁面アクセントとして機能します。

ここで決めることは3つあります。サイズ、色の組み合わせ、そして暖色光の調光可能バージョンにするかどうかです。サイズが最も重要です。小さなアクセントとして見せるのか、本格的な壁面アクセントとして見せるのかが決まるからです。色の組み合わせは、変わることのない形に重ねる仕上げの選択です。照明の選択は、標準タイプにするか調光可能タイプにするかというもので、3つの中では最も小さな決定事項であり、最後に決めやすいものです。

インストールガイド

このコレクションのウォールライトはすべて、箱に同梱されている金具で壁に取り付けます。以下の手順では、当社が提供する3種類の電源方式（直結式、コンセント式、充電式）すべてを説明します。まず最初のセクションを読み、お手元のタイプを確認してから、該当する手順に進んでください。

始める前に

  • 電源方式：ライトは直結式、コンセント式、または充電式です。どの方式かは上記の製品仕様に記載されています。取り付け方法が大きく変わるため、何かを開ける前に確認してください。
  • 取り付け面：すべてのウォールライトは平らな壁面に固定します。ねじ、アンカー、取り付けブラケットが付属しています。
  • 調光：標準的な交換式電球を使用するライトは、通常、調光できます。LED一体型モデルは一般的に調光できません。お使いのモデルについては、上記の仕様をご確認ください。
  • 屋内または屋外：IP等級で屋外使用に適していると示されている場合のみ、ライトを屋外に取り付けてください。屋内用の器具は天候にさらされるとすぐに故障し、濡れた場所では危険です。
  • 壁の種類：石こうボード、れんが、タイルには、それぞれ適したアンカーが必要です。付属のねじは標準的な石こうボードに適しています。それ以外の壁には、適切な固定具を別途用意してください。

必要になる可能性のある工具

ライトが直結式の場合

1. 電源を切る

分電盤またはブレーカーパネルで照明回路の電源を切ってください。壁のスイッチだけに頼らないでください。検電器でアウトレットボックス内の配線をテストし、触れる前に電気が流れていないことを確認してください。

2. 古い器具を取り外す

既存のライトを交換する場合は、ねじを外し、コネクターを緩めて配線を切り離します。配線にぶら下がらないよう、器具を支えながら取り外してください。

3. 取り付けブラケットを取り付ける

新しいブラケットをアウトレットボックスまたは印を付けた位置に当て、水準器で確認します。付属のねじで固定し、ブラケットが壁に平らに収まるよう均等に締めてください。

4. 配線を接続する

  • 活線同士：黒、茶色、または「L」と表示された端子
  • 中性線同士：白、青、または「N」と表示された端子
  • アース同士：緑、緑と黄色の組み合わせ、または裸線を、アース端子またはアースねじに接続します

各ペアの線をねじり合わせ、コネクターで固定します。金具をブラケットに取り付けて閉じたときに線が挟まれないよう、配線をボックス内に戻して収めます。

5. 金具を取り付ける

本体をブラケットに合わせ、付属のねじで固定します。壁に隙間なく密着し、動かない状態にしてください。

6. 電球を取り付ける

照明器具に交換可能な電球を使用する場合は、上記の製品仕様に記載された種類とワット数のものを取り付けます。ソケットに表示されたワット数を超えないでください。

7. 電源を復旧してテストする

回路の電源を入れ直し、照明をテストします。点灯しない場合は、再び何かを開ける前に、もう一度電源を遮断してください。

照明器具がプラグ式の場合

付属のねじとアンカーでブラケットを壁に固定し、水準器で水平を確認します。本体をブラケットに取り付け、ケーブルを最寄りのコンセントまで配線します。ケーブルがつまずく原因になったり、器具から出る部分で張りすぎたりしないよう、クリップで留めるか、収めてください。

照明器具が充電式の場合

ブラケットを壁に固定し、初めて使用する前に付属のケーブルで照明を完全に充電します。初回は電池残量が空の状態からの充電となるため、通常より時間がかかります。照明をブラケットに取り付けて電源を入れます。多くのモデルは工具を使わずにブラケットから取り外して充電できます。

重要なポイント

  • お住まいの地域で適用される配線規則に従ってください。これらの作業に少しでも不慣れな点がある場合は、資格を持つ電気工事士に依頼してください。短時間で対応できます。
  • 取り付ける前に、アウトレットボックスがしっかりしており、器具の重量に耐えられることを確認してください。
  • 器具は時々、乾いた柔らかい布でほこりを拭き取ってください。塗装仕上げやめっき仕上げには、溶剤や研磨剤入りクリーナーを使用しないでください。
  • 電球を扱う前に冷めるまで待ち、定格ワット数を超える電球は絶対に取り付けないでください。
